Jose Faverola

Jose M. Faverola was born on February 21, 1963 in Caracas, Venezuela. At an early age he migrated to Rockville, Maryland where he graduated in 1980 from Georgetown Preparatory School, later in life after having been involved with the airline industry for a many years directing cargo operations from Latin America, he went on to study law at the prestigious “Andres Bello Catholic University”, becoming an attorney at law in 1997 admitted to practice in Venezuela up to this day.  In 2010, Jose received the degree of Master of Laws in Intercultural Human Rights from St. Thomas University, School of Law in Miami, graduating Magna Cum Laude, taking a definite route in the pursuit of Justice.  Jose is certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Foreign Legal Consultant according to Florida Bar rules, which allows him to render legal advise in Venezuelan Law. He is an active member of the Venezuelan Bar Association as well as the Venezuelan Lawyers’ College. His legal career started with the Spanish Law firm Clarke Modet & Co, serving as an intellectual property attorney in Caracas, subsequently he founded his own law firm specializing in corporate law in that South American country. In 2004 after moving from Venezuela, he joined Krupnick Campbell Malone, et al where he works complex cases of global social importance along an expert legal team. Jose takes on Pro Bono cases, dedicating his time and effort to help the less fortunate, he is the co-founder of the Global Protection Network (GPN), a not for profit organization aimed at helping victims of Human Rights violations.

Jose is actively involve as an affiliate with the International Law section of the Florida Bar, and also a member of The Florida Justice Association as an out-of-State lawyer, he has served as Judge in the Jessup Cup of The National Law Student Association and he has written articles touching social issues. He resides in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with his wife and children.
