BLAKE DOLMAN IN THE NEWS
Blake V. Dolman
Blake V. Dolman, born and raised in South Florida, seeks justice for plaintiffs in wrongful death, personal injury, trucking liability, product liability (including defective airbags, truck underride guards and consumer products) as well as nursing home abuse/negligence and business tort matters. Blake is a member of a specialized unit within the firm that prosecutes catastrophic maritime cases on behalf of injured victims against cruise lines, charter operators, vessel owners and others. Blake has also developed unparalleled expertise in litigation involving rideshare companies. He has successfully represented numerous clients who have sustained life altering injuries, including quadriplegia and paraplegia, at the hands of Uber and Lyft drivers.
Additionally, Blake focuses on venue liability for individuals killed or catastrophically injured as a result of negligent security and battery by staff members acting under the guise of “security.” As a trial attorney at Krupnick Campbell Malone, he has represented individuals and families devastated by aviation accidents on both private and commercial aircraft. Blake works closely with the firm’s various other practice groups which represent plaintiffs in a wide variety of legal settings.
Blake attended the University of Miami School of Business Administration, graduating with a perfect 4.0 grade point average and ranking number one in his class. Blake went on to attend law school at the University of Miami. He graduated Magna Cum Laude and ranked in the top five percent of his graduating class. During each year of his legal education, he received the Dean’s Merit Scholarship and the Florence Bayuk Foundation Scholarship. Both of these prestigious honors were awarded based upon his continued superior academic achievements.
Days after becoming a trial lawyer with Krupnick Campbell Malone in 2013, Blake was retained by an individual who sustained multiple orthopedic injuries and a traumatic brain injury in a bicycle vs. motor vehicle accident months earlier. Prior to Blake’s involvement, the injured man’s insurance carrier had entirely rejected his claim for underinsured motorist benefits, finding the bicyclist completely at fault for the collision. Within weeks, Blake obtained crucial evidence from overseas witnesses which had been hidden from the injured man by his own insurance carrier. This led to a recovery in excess of $3,000,000 within 60 days.
Since then, Blake has consistently obtained multi-million dollar recoveries for his clients in catastrophic matters resulting in paralysis, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, blindness, severe burns and many other types of life altering injuries or death. As a result, Blake has developed a unique understanding of what individuals go through when their lives are touched by disaster and has gained a broad knowledge of not only the purely legal, but also the medical, economic, social and psychological challenges which they may face as a result.
In 2016, upon invitation, Blake became a lifetime charter member of Rue Ratings’ Best Attorneys of America® which limits its membership to 100 lawyers per state. In 2017, Blake was honored by The National Trial Lawyers by inclusion in its Top 40 under 40 Civil Plaintiff Lawyers (Florida).
In 2017, Blake was recognized by Super Lawyers® as a “Rising Star” for Personal Injury. Blake has also been listed as a “South Florida Superstar” by Attorney at Law Magazine® and was the subject of a two page article in that publication in 2017.
In 2016, the Daily Business Review published an article authored by Blake entitled “Family Rights: When Medical Malpractice is a License to Kill” which highlighted the fundamental unfairness of the civil justice system as it relates to medical malpractice. Blake has been featured in the Daily Business Review, Sun-Sentinel and on WPLG Chanel 10 news for his legal insights and results on behalf of his clients.
Blake is a member of the Florida Bar and is admitted to practice in all Florida State Courts and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court (Federal) Southern District of Florida. He is also a member of the American Bar Association, Broward County Bar Association, Broward County Trial Lawyers Association, Broward County Bar Association and the American Association for Justice.
