Ivan F. Cabrera was born in Miami, Florida, on October 4, 1967. He attended the University of Miami, where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1990. He continued at the University of Miami in accounting and taxation, and was honored for his outstanding achievements. Ivan obtained his law degree from St. Thomas University School of Law in December of 1992, where he was a member of the Hispanic American Law Association and Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity. Following graduation from law school, Ivan practiced for several years with a prominent South Florida defense firm, and in 1996 he became an associate of Krupnick Campbell Malone Roselli Buser Slama & Hancock and a partner of the firm in 2002. Ivan is fluent in Spanish and is extensively involved in the firm's litigation throughout Central and South America. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York, the District of Colombia, before all Florida courts, the Southern District of Florida, the Middle District of Florida and the Florida & United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the Dade County Bar Association, the Broward County Bar Association, the Broward County Hispanic Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Florida Justice Association and The Florida Bar. Ivan is also actively involved as a member of the Broward County Trial Lawyers' Association, the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. Ivan works with several community and charitable organizations including the Boys and Girls Clubs of Broward County, United Way, Kids in Distress, and Covenant House.
